Thrifting Fun

I really enjoy thrifting. I can remember as a little girl being so excited to visit my great grandma's house, because she had SO many treasures. I loved being able to see all of the 'stuff' she collected.
When we moved to Michigan my routine really got shaken up. Jack was no longer going to school 2 days/week and I didn't have workout group the other 3 days a week. Lost doesn't describe the feeling, so I threw myself into making our new house our home. I desperately wanted it to be as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, the sale of our previous home fell through which tied up the remodeling budget of the new place.
So, I decided that wasn't going to stop me. I started exploring the town and discovered the large expanse of thrift shops it had to offer. I forged ahead and started picking up beautiful home decor on a small budget. I was pumped! Although it might seem like I live at a thrift shop (darn social media), I generally only visit if I am trying to find a specific item. Today, after a morning spent playing outside, I loaded the kiddos in the van and set out to find our future kitchen island. I didn't find it, but I DID find a bunch of stuff I didn't need. HA!
